Course Accreditation
IWOC APPROVED COURSES

IWOC Master practitioner and corporate members are invited to submit their courses for IWOC accreditation. As IWOC is an independent body course approval will be granted by IWOC alone and not linked to any other organization. IWOC operates within UK and EU regulations for complementary health by self-regulation.

Any type of Colour Therapy course can be IWOC approved including Distance Learning and courses with spiritual content, specialist colour courses and courses for self-development. Approval will only reflect the quality of the contents and delivery method of the specified course. Please see full details below.

Courses given IWOC approved status will satisfy The Colour Council that they are of good quality in terms of the depth and breath of the content and also the teaching method. The main tutor must be an IWOC registered Master Practitioner.

Once a course has been accredited it will be given IWOC approval and the training school or individual teacher is entitled to use the IWOC approved logo on their brochures and marketing material.

Graduates of IWOC accredited courses will be eligible to join IWOC as Practitioner Members and Master practitioners when they meet the desired practitioner experience of a minimum of 3 years.

Guide to Professional Colour Therapy Training Standards

The International Wheel of Colour defends the right of diversity in the content and delivery of Colour therapy healing training courses. We operate within UK and EU goverment regulations with regards to self-regulation and offer a service to individual teachers and schools who would like their training courses and workshops to be International Wheel of Colour (IWOC) approved.

IWOC Colour Therapy Practitioner Course Accreditation

In order to maintain the highest professional standards and give confidence that Colour Therapy is a responsible and effective complementary health practise, the IWOC Master Practitioner panel has approved an IWOC recommended core curriculum for Certificate and Diploma level qualification in Colour Therapy. A new core curriculum has recently  been submitted to the Open College Network that gives course accreditation to National NVQ level 2 & 3 (which is A Level vocational equivalent) and can be obtained from us by request.

IWOC affiliated Colleges who wish to follow this curriculum or develop their own course can seek assistance  from IWOC and apply to register their course through their local OCN office. OCN course registration is not required by law and is entirely voluntary. It can also be costly so we only recommend that teachers register with the OCN if it is appropriate to their course content, number of students and facilities.

Please note that in order to maintain diversity of training but without losing standards we can also help you to find an alternative awarding body such as the ICM, BHMA or CNHC to suit your course type and content.

IWOC Home Study Course Accreditation

As IWOC is an independant, self-regulating body it retains the right to support and approve Distance Learning courses that fall outside the standardised procedures and accreditation requirements of many accrediting bodies.
Depending on the content, method of monitoring outcomes and level obtained, attendance of supervised workshops may also be recommended during or after the course. Our accreditation process complies with present legislation in the UK and EU. Should the situation change IWOC will review its approval service in order to comply with new legislation.

IWOC Colour Spritual Healing Course Accreditation

Specialist Colour healing courses with esoteric content aimed at spiritual development also fall outside National standard procedures and outcomes cannot be easily monitored and measured. In these cases we believe that The Colour Council made up of Master Practitioner members are the people most able to judge the effectiveness and quality of these types of courses. Each course will be considered on its own merits by evaluating the course aims, content, method of appraisal and desired outcome in the light of personal judgement and experience of the panel.

Once accepted your course can be marketed with the International Wheel of Colour Approved logo and your graduates will be able to join IWOC as practitioner members.

This service is available to practitioner and corporate members as well as non members of IWOC. Due to the time and cost involved in providing this service there will be a charge of £50.00 per course or workshop for members and £150.00 per course or workshop for non members.
